Look…Mace beat Palps arse…so why was it so hard for Yoda…besides the fact of a different movie ending?

@LokiLasher Mace didn’t beat Palps arse. Mace was lured on a fish hook and was caught completely. Palpatines intention was for Anakin to come and save him, that emotional barrier he had to cross. The thought of losing his only chance to save the one he loves is about to be killed, or seemingly. If Anakin wasn’t in the Equasion then Palpatine would have easily beaten Mace.
Yodas ability to counter-act force lightning proves that he is insanely powerful. Most jedis counter-act it with the sabre.
God seeing yoda in action… It’s the meaning of life.

@kimmedavid Well, its been established that powerful sith can cloud the jedi’s perception of the force. Example: a sith lord is chancellor and no one suspects him for years. Furthermore, jedi use the force to predict the future. That’s why jedi are awesome at saber fighting, podracing, rock paper scissors, etc. What if the emperor blocked Yoda’s link to the force? From Yoda’s perspective some old guy was just raising his hands, talking sh*t and what’s that bright light OH SHIIIIIII…….
@oskysum I believe it was mentioned somewhere that in the final moment of Sidious using his lightning on Yoda, He could see glimpses of the future (A moment without the cloud Sidious had spread) and saw that all would come out well (or something like that). So there was no point in returning to finish the battle.
@liptonBlueBirdAdd well yoda KNEW that he was the sith lord everyone was looking for! so if i go to a sith lord to catch him i would prepare myself for some crazy shit.

@kimmedavid I totally agree with you. However, the prequels aren’t known for being logical. So those of us that love Star Wars are forced to come up with lame explanations.
