This happened to me, But when you select the pen tool, at the top of the screen, there is a row of 3 boxes that select which mode the pen tool is in. I had to switch from “Paths,” to “Shape Layer.”

when i try to collapse the third layer it deletes the lightsaber thing. what can i do?
