Garage Warfare – Lightsaber Battle
*High Resolution Download* www.pixelmana.com Finally, it’s done. It took longer than expected but it’s finally done. This is my first attempt at making a lightsaber battle. There’s a twist towards the end should you choose to watch it the whole way through. I did this as a final project for a film class. Given the time constraint, I think it went pretty well for a first go. There are many things I would do differently and many effects were dumbed down or left out because of time constraints. I could have kept at it and polished it by the time class was done, but I figure I’ll keep it as it is and make the sequel 100x better (yes, I want to make a sequel). Hope you enjoy! The ending was epic lol. After the light saber there was harry potter. I thout after HP you’re going to go Dragon Ball on each other. XD

Assuming you’re a man of your word, I have a question: what camera did you use?
I beleve I used a Panasonic GS350. Nothing special. It was basically all I could afford back then since the HD movement hadn’t really started yet.
@PixelMana Nothing special?!! To the average unemployed teen, anything above, say, $250 is pushing it for a camcorder, nevermind the fact that After Effects is bloody expensive. Thanks for replying so quickly man, guess I’m gonna have to pony up some cash.
@EddieLowFilthSlayer It was actually the GS300. Back then it was something worth mentioning, but today you can get a decent HD camcorder for around $300-$400 and it will take much better quality video than what I used before.
The magic comes in the choreography, cinematography, and editing.
@PixelMana I’m certain I won’t be making the next Three in the Afternoon, so I’d settle for Standard Definition. I’ve currently got my eyes on the Canon ZR900. Besides, in order to make a decent short film, I’d need actors (decent ones), and even then, I’m not sure if it’s worth it to make a few saber duels…
