Every Lightsaber Ignition & Retraction
Every on-screen lightsaber ignition in movie chronological order. For retraction it’s the reverse order. I only put in clips where you can see the lightsaber ignite/retract and not just hear it. Also only put in clips where the lightsaber is intentionally ignited/retracted. Total hours to complete: 6 I used FCP for the editing/compression and did some color correction in After Effects. Haha. Ignitions are like “Oh man, awesome! A fight!” Whereas watching the retractions feel like “Oh man, it’s over. I missed it!” Nice work.

I much prefered the originallightsabersover the prequels’.
When they banged it seemed more real,and their thinner look made them look more real and less like a flash-light beam.

I was making an observation about the movies;nothing was stated about this video.
Gotta love the how there’s so many more ignitions in the prequels than originals. You just knew when a lightsaber was brought out it had a deep meaning and purpose. In the prequel, it was pretty much anything goes.
This video makes me think about getting boners.

missed Anakin’s best light saber scene, when he loses his arm the first time and has two going… not to mention like 3 or 4 more pretty epic ones.. example, the one time han solo uses a saber on a tan tan.. mos espa cantina… Vader in ep 4 (the circle is complete)… young Obi-Wan cutting Maul in half..
also the first ignition shoulda been episode 1 whether it was Obi, or Qui gon.. last ignition shoulda been Vader vs Luke on Deathstar 2… first retraction Luke, never joining the emperor… last retraction episode 1..

you missed another one: when one of the younglings in episode 3 goes to protect the senator guy from stormtroopers in coruscant(sp?). overall though, great compilation!
Notice there are a lot more in the three prequels. This only goes to show that they spent the money on special effects and not dialogue or plot
