I don’t know about a story in the actual Star Wars universe on how it’s a purple saber, but in the film making, Mr. Jackson said he would do the character Mace Windu if he had a unique color lightsaber, purple, and no other Jedi had a purple lightsaber but him so he could stand out with the badass color. I love Windu’s purple saber the best. I only wish they developed the character instead of making him minor and the personality of a moth like all the other Ep. 1,2,3 characters.
