can a track motion with a null oject be use to follow the light saber instead of moving it the light saber for each frame.

fantastic tutorial mate! but i got an issue. i am trying to do the obscure effect for a second time, and it won’t work!?! i have tried creating a new solid and doing it exactly again, i have even tried just copy and pasting my solid and shifting the effect down the time line. still nothing!? whats going on? i’ll be posting my awesome results once this gets sorted.
